Along with a full dental exam and exposed radiographs, vitality testing with PacEndo Vital-Ice is an important aspect of the endodontic diagnosis. The nerve terminals of the pulp can be stimulated with a cold spray to test for life.

Before beginning the surgery, the results of this test will reveal the tooth's life (existing blood flow). Note that pain relievers may provide the impression that the tooth is important yet does not respond to cold. Adjacent metal restorations can also cause the cold test to fail.

  • A simple test for cold sensitivity
  • ethyl chloride or ice are far colder
  • Use micro applicators or cotton pellets for precision.
  • The new fixed nozzle prevents the nozzle from falling or being lost.
